Andrew Yang for president

Andrew Yang for president and humanity forward

"In the next 12 years, 1 out of 3 American workers is at risk of losing their jobs to new technologies—and unlike with previous waves of automation, this time new jobs will not appear quickly enough in large enough numbers to make up for it. To avoid an unprecedented crisis, we’re going to have to find a new solution, unlike anything we’ve done before. It all begins with Universal Basic Income for all American adults, no strings attached – a foundation on which a stable, prosperous, and just society can be built."      Andrew Yang

Arguments for basic income

The market is killing the planet.

1. Earth is 4.5 billion years old and the work from nature, other animals and humankind is a gift, nothing that I, You or anybody else have created individually.  The knowledge and wealth we have comes from earlier generations cumulative needs, suffering, misstakes and work, from nature and culture. We stand on our forefathers' shoulders.

2. Basic income may help us to work with subjects we love or at least not hate.  To have a job today is often to obey, to go to do things you do not like.

3. To much power and money corrupts. The way to power and extraordinary wealth mostly makes people worse. People justify their wealth, even when they clearly do not deserve their wealth at all.  Higher social class predicts increased unethical behavior.

4. All humans, all life, has basic needs.

People in the top of societies, now and during the history, very often has become the worst and tyrannized their population. Balance of power is a way to reduce the repression and secure the integrity of all the members of a community.

5. Each person, and also animals, need enough power to live with dignity.

6. According to my own experience is it easy to use free time, leisure, meaningsful. You develop interest, meet friends, love, create something, think, write, study, climb a mountain, sail, build a house, design your day and answer to the demands and possibilities of the day. The difficult thing is to free yourself from wage slavery. To have a income that secure a little bit more than my basic needs. But when I have that, and I am the captain of my day the stress level goes down and empathy and health increase. I feel and live better.

Stress & power and health

"Sapolsky observed the bigger, dominant males often teasing the weaker ones, pushing them around and not letting them have a fair share of food or mating privileges. In fact, the baboons that were most submissive to the dominant males revealed brain activity similar to the kind found in clinically depressed humans."

Sapolsky’s findings with baboons echoed an important study done on human stress called the Whitehall Study.

Andrew Yang and basic income may help us to not be afraid at workplaces, it will help us to relax, be in a good mood and have integrity. To work with subjects we love. Not only for the money, but because the work is meaningsful. To have a job today is often to obey, to go into functional stupidity day after day. It is wage slavery and we do not need slavery. We need to be captain of our day.
